Art Project with Granny

Art Project with Granny

We love hearing stories about our gifts at Be So Baby.  And finding out about novel ways to use the gifts inside our boxes is even better!

With a new baby sister, A & S were over the moon last week.  With Grandparents from both sides of the family visiting over the weekend, and the sunshine giving us the best weather of the year so far, the excitement reached even higher levels!

One thing Granny knows how to do though, is keep excited little children occupied and a little calmer.  After spending several hours being taught how to play Monster Bingo by A, and playing many rounds of New Baby Lotto with both toddlers, Granny hit upon a novel way to pass some more time.

The smaller playing pieces for each game are fixed to a card cut-out when you first open the box.  These cut-outs make perfect templates for a calm afternoon art project.  All that was required was a table, a big, blank sheet of paper and some colouring pens and pencils.

Have a look at the video below.  This project held A's full concentration for about an hour.  The new parents were extremely grateful for a little peace and quiet while A and Granny shared this activity!
